Happy 22 months!

I cannot believe how fast time is going by! I really can't. My little baby is 22 months old today. He's growing up so much, he's not even a baby anymore, he's definitely a rambunctious toddler.

Now, Jake has been growing! All that eating is catching up. :)

He's 25.4 lbs
Jake is 33 inches tall (much to my chagrin, it's great he's growing and all, but it's getting harder to keep stuff away!)
Jake doesn't talk much, but he's recently actually started using his words. Though not first words, he's consistently using: "bubba" "dodo" "more" "up" and it almost sounds like he's saying goodnight.
His favorite activities are climbing and slides at the park.
His favorites toys are his little nerf balls, and his puzzles.
Oh, and knock on wood. But he's finally consistently sleeping through the night again! From about 7pm to 7am. :)
We went swimming today. I snapped this picture quickly before we went into the pool.
He was playing with his ball, but scratching his butt too. His diaper was clean, so I don't know why, but it was funny.

Wedding Day!

Unless you live under a rock (then how would you have internet to read this?), then you know it was the Royal Wedding Today! And I love it, and indulged and watched the entire thing.
And no. I did not ignore my child for the day. It just happens he goes to daycare anyways on Friday's. Talk about win-win.
He had fun today. Got so messy during lunch, that he needed to change his shirt. He napped well. And played well.
When we got home, we had supper, dessert, bath time, bottle, then bed. He was sure tired!

This is what he's getting into time-out for lately. He climbs on the base of the lamp for a little boost, then wiggles onto the table and stands up.
Then he proceeds to stand on the arm of the couch, then jumps on to the couch head first.
He's a silly boy.

After his bottle, he seemed to be looking for someone to say goodnight too. But settled for the Beaver, and brought both of the stuffed animals to bed with him.

Still here...

It's just been a couple of boring rainy days.

Jake loves pretzels, but he only eats pretzel sticks, he won't eat pretzel fish. Weird huh.

Jump! Jump! Jump!

We had another beautiful day here. Knock on wood, but the weather has been fantastic. Mid 20s and sunny.
We spent the morning doing chores. Jake helps with the dusting (he loves the swiffer!) Then we went over to his friend Noah's after Jake's nap. The boys had a great time playing outside. Noah got a trampoline for his second birthday and the boys had a blast on it. They even had a blast on the trampoline box. Sometimes, the box is more fun. :)
We stayed for supper, though Jake fed most of his supper to their dog.
All in all, a fantastic day!

Happy Easter!
We had a very quiet Easter since my parents are in Scotland. I didn't do the Easter Egg hunt until after naptime, but that was alright, it was still a success.
Jake had fun finding the chocolates and putting them in his Easter bag. (I used my brother's Easter chocolates, so Jake didn't even get to eat them!) But it's all okay, he had some m&m's to eat.
Jake also carried his Teddy Bear during the entire hunt, it was so cute!
He was wearing a new outfit, and I think it's just darling.

Back to the "big park"

This morning, we went back to the big park. We went a few weeks ago, and Jake had a blast, but I forgot the memory card on my camera. I remembered this time. And Jake had a blast again. You know it's a great morning when a bath is necessary before naptime!Walking/running into the park. I really had to holler to get him to turn around and look at me.

Balancing act. I did have to help him a little with this one since the blocks under his feet move. He was pretty amazing and worked very hard. He was so happy when he got to the other end!

I have no clue what this is for, but Jake was sliding down it. He's in the middle of clapping in this picture.
This is the big slide! He couldn't go on it today since it's blocked off for repairs. But the first time we came to the park, this is the first thing he did! He did climb up and down though. You can see him climbing the steps in the picture.

Playing in the backyard

Yesterday was the first day in a long time that we spent the entire day at home. We took advantage of the beautiful weather and played outside. We went for a nice long walk in the morning, the intention was to stop at the park on the way home. But I really needed the bathroom, so we headed straight home. Jake DID NOT want to come inside, he was running all over the place in the front yard. I finally scooped him up to go inside, and he cried until he realized I was going to let him into the backyard. He can be so funny!
I brought his mega blocks out, and he had fun playing with them. He also likes to explore the yard.
This afternoon, he went to daycare. He's doing really well, he's really starting to interact with the other kids and playing WITH them instead of around them.
