New playground

I only have a few pictures, since it's getting late and the internet is slow. Story of my life! :)
We had a pretty good day today. I got lucky and Jake took a nap at 1130am, which turned out great since we were out all afternoon.
After dropping Andrew off and running a few errands, we only had an hour or so to kill before picking Andrew up again. It seemed silly to come home, so I drove around a little and found a little park. There were about 10 other kids there, and Jake really liked watching them play. As long as there's a slide, Jake's all set at the park. Oh, and the other kids kept talking to me, and I had no clue what they were trying to say. It was pretty funny.
We stopped at McD's for supper at the train station to wait for Andrew. Jake had chicken nuggets and I had his drink.
Then we came home, Andrew gave Jake his bath, then we left again to drive him to a party. I think life with a teenager includes a lot of driving! LOL!

The train was late..so Jake taught himself how to drive.

Chocalat!

Jake was really really good this morning. We got up at 8am, came downstairs, Jake ate TWO bowls of oatmeal. He inhaled the first bowl, then asked for more! LOL!
Then Jake played with his toys for an hour while I made chocolate chip banana muffins and cleaned up the kitchen. It was so quiet at times, I was sure he was up to no good, but nope, he was just reading his books behind the chair. It was very restful.
It was a daycare for Jake, gym for me afternoon. I thought Jake would nap at daycare, but he didn't. He did fall asleep on the way home, and I let him sleep for an hour while I made supper. After supper, we went to the Murphy's to have birthday cake for Nicole! It was delicious. Jake enjoyed the cake, but thought the ice cream was cold! Then he was a terror! Poor Melanie because Jake is quick and he was getting into everything. The lights were his favorite. He likes to turn them on and off.
Jake decided to bring both his Teddy Bear and Elephant down this morning. That's new!
Chocolate face after eating a muffin!
Asleep while I was making supper.
Yum! Birthday Cake!

Sleepy Day

It was a quiet sort of odd day today. Jake was just whiny all morning. It was nice out, so we played in the backyard, but he was having meltdown after meltdown. I finally asked him at 1130 if he wanted his bubba and he said yes.
He ended up going down for his nap at 1130am and sleeping until almost 3pm. I guess he was tired!
We went for a nice long walk this afternoon, then to the park to play. He had a blast as always, he just loves the slide. He's also been playing in the sand quite a bit too.
We didn't get back home until 530pm, but Jake was hungry and demanding food! He wanted his lasagna, despite me telling him it wasn't ready. He went to get his highchair and sat in it and there was still 5 minutes left! Talk about impatient. I tried giving him other food, but he wasn't having it. He's pretty funny.
We read some books, bath time, then he was in bed again around 715pm. Oh, it dawned on me I didn't take any pictures today, so I snapped this as he was taking his bottle before bed.

Connected again!

Our internet...and phone cut out sometime in the night on Sunday. So we were without yesterday, and I'm pleased to say we all survived. Though, we all missed it. Yes, we do realize we are addicted !
We've had a good couple of days. It's been rainy parts of days, but we either brave the rain, or we've played a lot inside.
Jake went back to daycare yesterday, I think he was thrilled. He sure was full of beans when I picked him up! The rest of the day was pretty quiet. Naptime, playtime, supertime, bathtime. Oh, he did eat chicken quesadillas for supper and loved them! (Andrew loved them too!) It was a hit.
This morning was a great morning. First, Jake slept through the night without waking up once! Yippee!! Then we went to playgroup, it was a quiet playgroup, but the kids still have fun. The first thing Jake does is go straight to the snack table to eat a croissant. It's pretty funny, and expected now. He also really got into colouring with the crayons, unfortunately, he also liked eating said crayons. He also loved the stamps, but he liked taking the tops on and off and stamping his hands...not the paper. He's just a funny kid sometimes!

Petter Rabbit

My mom bought Jake two new books last week. They are both touch and feel books, and Jake adores them. He's constantly climbing on the couch the "read" them, or he's climbing on my lap so I read them to him. It's really adorable. I love that he likes books.
We had a pretty good week-end. Yesterday, it was really nice out. We did play outside, but spent a lot of times running errands and driving Andrew around! Jake was really good in the car though, so that was a bonus.
Today, it was pretty rainy, we played with his toys all morning, then Jake took a nice long nap before we went to pick Andrew up at Snow world.
All in all, a nice quiet week-end. :)

(Don't be fooled, Andrew is reading for school. :) )

Rainy Day

Yesterday, it was a dreary rainy day. After spending the morning inside, we went outside as soon as Jake woke up from his nap. It stopped raining, but was still pretty wet, so we took a big walk and Jake explored.
I love his raincoat and boots. I just find them so adorable. He also had fun playing in puddles and splashing around.

Happy 21 months

Jake is 21 months!! Can you believe it? I sure can't.
He's really growing up, he's no longer a baby, my Jake is officially a toddler, a little boy. I think it's the haircut. LOL!

Jake is still about 24lbs.
I have no idea how tall he is, I'll have to measure him someday soon. According to his pants, he's definitely grown though!
He now goes to bed at 730am. But he's getting up at night. We're hoping to work on that this month.
Jake is napping like a champ lately, a good two hours a day. I actually have to wake him up most days.
He's still not saying any new words, but communicates very well nonetheless. He can very adamantly say "no!" when he doesn't want something, and say yes when he does want it.
Jake's favorite toys lately are a couple new books, his mega blocks, and the park!!

We went to De Balloon again. It's a great play place and Jake has a blast. We met up with Leo and his parents. He likes this slide. He slides down pretty fast.

This is the smile that Jake has most of the morning. He loves this place!

Oh, and as tradition. This is Jake about a year ago. He was baptized when he was 9 months, and just starting to get mischievous.
