The park!

There's a little park in our village, we went to it yesterday for the first time. Then we went back again today. We walked (well, I carried him part of the way because Jake gets easily distracted) and he really loves it.
He just loves the slide. I find it amazing that he can climb the ladder all by himself. Everyone else does not think that's amazing. At least this is one thing he's allowed to climb! He's so proud of himself when he gets to the top, it's really cute.
The park must of exhausted him, because he went down for a nap early and easily. But then he woke up with a bug in his butt! He sure was a grump this afternoon, plus it was raining so we were stuck inside. After supper, and a bath, he was in a much better mood.

Snotty Baby!

Jake has a little cold. His nose is like a faucet, it just constantly leaks. Between my mom, my dad, and me, we are constantly after him with kleenex! My mom says he has "cold eyes", I guess his eyes have the "I'm feeling lousy" look in them.
He's been pretty content otherwise and he's sleeping super well. He took a two hour nap on Sunday, and took a three hour nap yesterday. AMAZING. He's also been sleeping really well at night. He was up at 8am this morning, without waking up during the night. YAY!!!!
Most of you saw this picture on Facebook. I just want to add that Jake loves being with his grandpa in the office. (Grandpa on the other hand, does not love it as much!) Jake pushed that chair so it was next to Grandpa, then he climbed on it, all by himself. I just thought it was the most adorable thing ever. He's allowed to stay in the office as long as he doesn't touch anything, needless to say, that doesn't last very long!
There's a playground just outside the grocery store. I bring Jake there while my parents are going through the checkout.
I love this picture! He goes down the slide by himself. (But he can't go up the stairs on this slide) So I chase him around and he just giggles, then I lift him up, and he slides down.

Baby's First Car

Woah! A new car!

My mom and I tried to distract Jake from the car with the box. It didn't work for very long.

I was making supper, and noticed it was a little too quiet. Peek out of the kitchen to find Jake on the couch sound asleep!
Snuggling right into the couch. (He was NOT happy when I woke him up for supper, and went to bed soon afterward.)

It was a lot of work to build the car, Jake kept getting in the way, in the car, trying to drive it away while Grandpa was putting it together. My mom and I thought it was the funniest cutest thing!

Naughty Boy!

Jake's recent favorite things to do are:
1. Climb on the glass coffee table.
2. Climb on his chair, climb on the side table, jump on the couch.
3. Turn the tv on and off.
4. Turn the lights on and off.

He's a naughty boy.

He's also a cute boy. He was doing the Dance des Canards today. It was hilarious! But I couldn't get it on camera, I'll try again tomorrow.

Jake is going to get fired from the farm.

And I'm glad.
I joked with my aunt on Facebook that Jake was a perfect farmer since he was up at 430am and in bed by 7pm.
It's going to end, I am determined. Jake woke up at 445am, but I didn't go get him, and eventually fell asleep again and got up at 7am. It was awesome!
We stayed at home today. It was a beautiful day outside. We went out twice.
Jake was a funny boy, he hasn't been eating breakfast lately. He throws it on the floor. He also fell asleep as I was making his lunch. So he spent his day snacking. We did have one of his favorites for supper..chicken nuggets and fries. Jake thinks that's yummy!

20 months!!!!

Jake is born on the 30th of June, so I just decided that today he was 20 months. I can't believe my baby is out of his teen months. (I'm feeling a tiny bit sappy.)

Jake is learning new things everyday. Unfortunately, lately they all seem to be getting him into trouble. His new favorite is standing on the glass coffee table, though I almost always get him before he gets that far.
He loves to sit on his grandpa's lap when he's on the computer.
If the tv is on, it must be off. If it's off, it must be on. Typical toddler.
He's starting to drink milk out of his sippy, but still hasn't given up is bottle before bed.
He still goes to bed really easily, but has gotten up around 430am most of the month. Yuck!
Jake loves to play with his mega block bin. He also loves his train. He likes to break it apart, unfortunately he can't put it back together. It's a game. (Andrew hates that toy.)
Jake absolutely loves is Teddy Bear. It's adorable.
